 ALIPAY  

Alipay (China) Network Technology Co., Ltd. is a domestic third-party payment platform,
Alipay was a division of Taobao.com, a website of Alibaba Group in 2003, and officially operated independently in 2004. It is now a subsidiary of Ant Financial, which is independent of Alibaba Group.
Since the second quarter of 2014, it has become the world's largest mobile payment manufacturer. Most people in mainland China have replaced payment methods such as cash or credit cards with Alipay.

Alipay has established strategic partnerships with more than 180 banks at home and abroad, as well as international organizations such as VISA and MasterCard, and has become the most trusted partner of financial institutions in the field of electronic payments.


In February 2020, the Central Bank of Nepal issued a license to Alipay.

1. Alipay (Web Payment)

  • Cardholder-Present: Cardholders present their Alipay-wallet QR Code with a linked UnionPay credit or debit card, for merchants to scan (using our A8/ K9 model devices). Merchants then input the payment amount on the device and scan the cardholder's Alipay -wallet QR code to proceed payment, as cardholders confirmed the payment details on their phone, the payment will be finalized.

  • Merchant-Present: Merchants can have a static Alipay QR code printed on their cashier for cardholders' easy access or create a QR code for each payment. Merchants can simply type in the payment amount on the devices, then cardholders open their Alipay-wallet app with a linked UnionPay credit or debit card on their phone to scan the merchant's Alipay QR code to proceed and finalized the payment.

How to set up Alipay:
